Who is responsible

Zegler Agency is the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us at contact@zegleragency.com for anything on this page, including a request to delete what we hold.

What this site collects

Nothing at all until you submit the brief form. There is no cookie banner on this site because there are no cookies to consent to: no advertising pixels, no analytics, no session tracking, no local storage of anything you do.

• The brief form. Your name, email address, and optionally your company, website, what you need, your timing and budget range, plus whatever you write in the message.
• Server logs. Our host records the usual technical entries for every visit: IP address, browser, page requested, time. These are generated automatically by the web server, are used for security and troubleshooting, and are not connected to anything else.
• Fonts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We do not send Google anything else about you.

Why, and on what basis

We use what you send in the brief form for one purpose: to answer you and, if it goes further, to scope and carry out the work. The legal basis is that you asked us to take steps before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.

We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone else, other than the ordinary technical processors below. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send a newsletter.

Who else touches it

That is the complete list. There is no CRM, no email marketing platform and no advertising network behind this website.

• Hostinger hosts this site and its email, so a brief passes through their servers and rests in the mailbox.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, as described above.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months, so we can pick up a conversation that went quiet, and then deleted. If we work together, project records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting, which is usually longer.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will, without asking why.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, ask us to stop using it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to contact@zegleragency.com and we will respond within one month, usually the same week.

If you are in the UK or the EU and you think we have handled your information badly, you may also complain to your national data protection authority. We would rather you told us first.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The brief form posts to our own server, is validated there, and is emailed to one mailbox. We keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small, because the safest data is data nobody collected.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not make changes retroactive to information already collected.
